A Texas Droveress
Margaret Heffernan Borland was the only woman know to boss her own herd up the long trail to Kansas in 1873. Our May-June issue of the Kansas Cowboy features the legendary story of an amazing woman who endured Great tragedy throughout her lifetime. From the establishment of the Irish colonies in south Texas to the great cattle drives, Margaret Borland was there. Check it out in the Kansas Cowboy. Looking for something Cowboy to do this weekend.
